The Classic Burger
INGREDIENTS
  • „Y 1 tsp of vegetable oil (sunflower for example),
  • „Y 125 gr of lean beef mince
  • „Y 1 split white roll (Crunchy is better)
  • „Y 2 thick slices of large ripe tomato
  • „Y 4 slices of pickle cucumber or Gherkin (optional)
  • „Y 1 leaf of iceberg (try a little bit of watercress for the taste),
  • „Y 1 thin slice of a medium onion.

Method (Serves For one burger)

Make a burger size of your mince. Cook it in the hot oil for 1mn per side in medium heat, reduce the heat to low-medium and cook an extra 1mn per side (for medium). Put the burger directly on the bottom-side, then the tomato, pickles, lettuce, onion and then the top-side bread. The classical burger has to be served with fried onion and French fries. Serve a nice cool (not chilled) light Californian red wine or a beer.
