The Bacon Cheeseburger:
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 slices of streaky bacon (smoked if you prefer)
  • 100-125gr of lean beef mince
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice
  • 25gr of grated mature cheddar
  • 1 split white roll (crusty is preferable)
  • 2 leaves of Iceberg lettuce:

Method (Serves For one burger)

Cook the bacon on the grill. This is a healthier method of cooking and will get rid of the extra fat. If you wish this fat may be spread on the inside of the roll. Shape the mince beef into a burger around 2cm thick. Cook your burger on medium heat until brown… be careful not to dry it out!. Pour the lemon juice over the burger when cooking the last side. Season. Spread the cheese on the top of the burger and cook for an extra minute to melt. Place the burger on the bottom-side of the roll, the bacon on top of the cheese, then the lettuce and finally the top-side of the roll and enjoy!!
