CLASSIFICATION SERVICES
Under the direction of the Classification Services Manager, classification staff are responsible for the classification of both beef and sheep carcases in plants throughout Northern Ireland. Currently, 98% of all cattle and 95% of all sheep slaughtered in Northern Ireland are classified by LMC Officers. In the last financial year (April 2006 - March 2007 ) 414,602 cattle carcasses and 821,643 sheep carcases were classified by LMC.
