No change to cattle quotes

Quotes for steers and heifers were unchanged for the fourth week in a row, remaining at 260-262p for U3 grades.  The cow trade was also steady at 210-226p, mostly 220-226p.  The factories indicated that good supplies of cattle were coming out.

Lambs +10p at 380p

Quotes for spring lambs increased 10p at one plant so far this week to 380p, but with prices increasing at the marts it is likely that others will follow suit.  Quotes elsewhere had started unchanged at 370p.  Hoggets were a steady trade at 300p at the plants still looking for them.

·        Omagh (Sat 10 May):  hoggets 234-270p, spring lambs 379-393p

·        Swatragh (Sat 10 May):  hoggets 240-280p, spring lambs 370-396p

·        Crumlin:  spring lambs 350-390p

·        Kilrea: hoggets 255-261p, spring lambs 390-396p
