LMC is committed to the timely and effective communication of industry relevant information. This is done in line with the Comission’s communications strategy which is continually reviewed to ensure it is agile in providing support to the agri-food industry. External communications issued by LMC include; frequent press releases, social media and website updates, LMC News and the LMC Bulletin. The LMC marketing and communications team also organise and co-ordinate the Comission’s attendance at important stakeholder events and agricultural shows.
LMC is delighted to demonstrate its support for the agri-food industry through the continued sponsorship of key events such as Balmoral Show, Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend, the Northern Ireland Food and Drink awards dinner and the Farming Life awards.
In addition to representation at and sponsorship of events, the marketing and communications team also engage in relevant media campaigns throughout the year, namely, Beef Week NI and Love Lamb Week. At the heart of both campaigns lies the Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assurance Sheme. The communications team endeavor to highlight the benefits of scheme membership for producers and the many health and environmental benefits opting for NIFQA meat provides for consumers.
