Another stem of LMC’s consumer promotions work is its involvement in industry initiatives and media campaigns. LMC is actively involved in the following campaigns listed below.
The campaign aims to educate consumers about the health and environmental benefits of Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured (NIFQA) produce. The consumer website (www.beefandlambni.com) compliments this campaign and allows consumers to explore the full scope of the Commission’s consumer engagement work. The website is packed with a range of delicious recipe ideas, information about NIFQA farmers, a retail stock check, competitions and e mail updates for subscribers.
Beef Week NI is an annual week long event each April which focusses on how Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured (NIFQA) beef is farmed with the environment in mind, and is naturally nutritious.
Love Lamb Week is an industry-wide initiative that promotes local farmers’ commitment to upholding world leading standards that ensure we have the tastiest lamb on our plates. LMC often uses this oppportunity to engage with consumers through retail sampling and media engagement.
Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend is an annual event was established in 2012 as an opportunity to showcase the Northern Ireland farming industry and help consumers understand the meaning of farm to fork.
Balmoral Show is a key date in the agricultural calendar which brings stakeholders and members of the public together to showcase the best of the local agri-food industry. LMC has proudly sponsored many livestock classes at Balmoral Show since 2017 and uses the 4 day long show as an opportunity to showcase our NIFQA beef and lamb at engaging sampling events on stand.
