The Livestock and Meat Commission (LMC) is inviting service users across Northern Ireland to take part in a brand-new survey aimed at improving how key cattle and sheep quotes information is gathered and shared.
LMC’s quote reporting services have been a vital resource for the red meat industry for many years and through its Market Intelligence Department, the Commission is reaching out directly to those who use and rely on this information to help shape the future of its reporting systems.
The survey which will run from Wednesday 25th June until Sunday 31st August is seeking feedback on how cattle and sheep quotes, as well as how reported cattle prices are currently collected and published.
Head of Market Intelligence and Data Management at LMC, Jacqueline Liddicoat said, “This survey is a chance for industry stakeholders to have their say in how this information is collected and published. This input will play a crucial role in a review of LMC’s reporting processes, potentially leading to improvements in how essential data is requested, reported, and used to support the local red meat sector.”
